"Supporting Youth and Farmer Community through Education, Community Building and Local Solutions"

Why this program?

About 83% of Rakhine’s total population lives in rural areas and relies on farming and fishing as their main source of livelihood. Improving the lives of farmers is crucial to alleviating state poverty.

Recognizing the needs of current farmers, Twinleaf Arakan launches a direct outreach initiative called the Community Impact Program (CIP). It aims to empower older farmers to combine their traditional practices with contemporary science, wisely use nearby natural resources, and create opportunities for women farmers in the local agri-food sector.

This program drives the transformation of current farming practices to be regenerative, sustainable, and economically profitable.
