Empowering Environmentally Conscious Youth

With the support of Peer Lead, this three-month environmental education project was successfully implemented with the aim to strengthen youth engagement in environmental conservation and farming activities at home or with the families.  other environmental conservation activities

In details, the project focused to raise awareness about biodiversity, natural resources management and the climate action within their communities. Through this very first initiative, 62 youth from 10 villages of Rathedaung Towship, Rakhine State gained practical knowledge and increase their confidence to take part in the farming/climate action or

Environmental Awareness Training

Htar Htar Aye from Kan Pyin Village: ” I regret that _I did not think of deeply how forest is important for our lives and community before coming this training. This training sessions made me to explore more about forest resources nearby and think of deeply relationship between forest and our community.” 

Myo Min Tun from Thetkatoe Village: “Before joining this, I admit that I did not have such a sense. I see climate change as normal conditions and have been acting like normal. Then I thought that climate change is natural. It is not associated with our human being and our actions. From this training I learned current climate change is being accelerated by human activities in many ways.”
