Mrat Twan is the main initiator behind Twinleaf Arakan. Born and raised in Rathedaung, he founded the organization in 2025 to support rural farmers facing the harsh impacts of climate change.
“Every year, communities in Rakhine facing increasing climate-related challenges. Farmers _whose lives depend on nature_lack access to modern agricultural knowledge. Youth often become part of the problem due to a lack of awareness. Twinleaf Arakan was born to change that. We promote sustainable agriculture. Improve food security, and engage young people in protecting our environment.”

KHAING ZAW HTOO

Khaing Zaw Htoo is one of the driving forces behind Twinleaf Arakan’s grassroot impact. As Operation Manager, he coordinates daily efforts with deep commitment to climate action and youth empowerment.
“I’m passionate about helping smallholder farmers and encouraging young people to see farming as a viable and sustainable future. Our goal is development that benefits both people and planet.”

PHROE WAI KHINE

Phroe manages the heart of Twinleaf’s finances and operations. With a strong sense of purpose, she works to strengthen the link between people and environment.

A recent graduate of the State Agricultural Institute in Thaton, Ma Cho Htay brings fresh energy and knowledge to the team.
“Growing up, I saw how little access my parents and other farmers had to quality agricultural education. Through Twinleaf, I want to close that gap and show young people that sustainable farming is a powerful tool for better livelihoods.”
